North Central Jail Overview

North Central Regional Jail and Correctional Facility is operated by the West Virginia Division of Corrections and Rehabilitation. It is a regional jail and correctional facility in Greenwood, Doddridge County, not a building owned by Pleasants County. That distinction matters because a person arrested in Pleasants County may be booked into a DCR facility outside the county. The Pleasants County Sheriff's Office still handles local law enforcement, court process, transportation duties, and sheriff records, but the public custody lookup for a recent jail booking runs through WV DCR.

The official DCR facility page lists Doddridge, Harrison, Marion, Monongalia, Pleasants, Ritchie, Wirt, and Wood as served counties. The WV DCR FY2025 annual report indexed text adds Tyler and Wetzel in its mission wording and states that North Central holds pretrial and sentenced felonies and misdemeanors. North Central Visit Schedule

North Central visitation is non-contact only. The inmate must submit a request through the kiosk option labeled for visitation requests, or use NCRJ Form 5-0033 if the kiosk is not functional. Each inmate is allowed one visit per month. A visit is limited to one adult and two minor children, or two adults, and the standard visit length is 30 minutes.
